When looking at artist's websites, I compared artists that focus on different genres. I did this so that I could take into consideration what genre my artist will focus on. I used the website 'a.nnotate' so that I could annotate images of the websites clearly.
Ed Sheeran -Gender - Male
Age - 23
Genre - Pop, Folk, Acoustics
Main features of website - Colour theme throughout to support album, videos and lyrics to supports songs, new page to promote himself as an artist.

Slipknot - Band
Genre - Heavy metal, nu metal, alternative metal
Main features of website - Simple design which is supported with links to other sites. For example, social media, itunes and stores. Colour scheme is fitted to genre with darkness. Click here for my annotation - an annotation
Overwerk -Genre - Electro
Main features of website - Very basic only including one image and a video. This could be because of budget but the use of links to social media helps to promote themselves more.
